I have heard her mention her sisters, & her brother-in-law (I believe it was her sister Kendra's husband) was the one who helped Jon paint Mady & Cara's new room.
But I know what you mean, Kevin was always there. It has to be really hard for him. I just think that Jodi "speaking out" is wrong for her to do.

I just see it as Jodi sticking up for her sister. I'd probably do the same.
If anything, Jodi's sister is to blame for even starting that blog. Sure, Jodi got screwed, but Julie's no better than Kate for saying some of the things she did on that blog.
My family's got tons of dirty laundry and drama, but you don't see me airing it to the whole world. It's a shame how a disagreement between two women is affecting the whole family.

SO I took a couple of months off from watching this, mainly becuase my summer was very busy but also because I actually read some of the forums and hate-kate websites and I could tell it was affecting my opinion of the show.
So I watched last night and I have to say, I thought they had a great 4th of July and did all sorts of normal things (aside from the fact that the house they were in probably rents for ~ $3000 a week). and I've made the American flag cake that Kate made with the girls (only I hate cool whip so I used real whipped cream) and I do have to say it is really good.

Peak vacation season in OBX? In a house that big? Try upwards of $5-6000. Yikes.

Woops- I was looking at winter rates. But you are right. I'm sure the show paid for it.

Time to Exit, John & Kate
An editorial on a blog called A Minor Consideration, a foundation that gives guidance to child stars. I think they have a point when they say that kids need privacy as they get older. Will be interesting to see what happens as they grow up.

I just watched the "Labor Day" episode where they took the kids back to the hospital and such where they were born, and the condo where they lived while they were waiting to get all the kids out of the hospital.
Something that I can appreciate about the Gosselins is the fact that they're very honest about their initial feelings about having 6 kids at once.
On alot of those "multiple baby TV shows" the families are just sooo excited to have that many kids they say "OMGG my babies ARE SOO WONDERFUL and we WERE so THRILLED to have them!"
J&K are pretty up front about the fact that they were pretty freaked out by it at first.

I just watched the episode about the kids going to preschool.
I was pretty surprised that Kate didn't homeschool the kids (I think she mentioned in past episodes that she wanted to).
It also surprised me that all 6 of them are in the same classroom. You'd think that after spending the first couple years of life together all the time, that she'd insist on them being split up.

I missed last night, but as for all the kids being in the same classroom- it depends on the size of the preschool. My son's preschool only had one class per age per day, so unless you split up the days they are there (some go Monday-Wednesday, others go Tuesday-Thursday or something) they pretty much have to be in the same class.

I'm almost positive the pre-school is at their church (the building and the surroundings looked familiar). Usually churches don't have many pre-school classes. I think they'll be split up when they get into kinder & beyond.
Also I don't know if it was mentioned, but Kate was on an episode of "Say Yes to the Dress." She went to go pick out a dress for the vow renewal in Hawaii.

That most certainly is their church's pre-school. http://gtaog.org/232384.ihtml (The church was mentioned in a Special Thanks in the closing credits) I recall Kate saying in a previous episode that "that's where the twins went and where the little ones will eventually go there too."
I can't believe how much the kids have grown. Hannah's quite the sassy one, it's cute. And Joel -- out of all the kids, I never thought he'd be the first to ride a two-wheeler. It makes sense, though, especially since he was one of the first ones to even want to start riding a bike.

I didn't grow out of my training wheels until I was like 7/8! Good for Joel! I love Hannah's sassy attitude. I can't believe that Hannah weighs more than Colin (this was on a different episode), I guess Kate is right--his big head makes you think he weighs more! lol

ahh I haven't seen any of the episodes since August!
We either have chapter when it's on, or someone is watching something else (we don't get cable in our rooms. it's lame)

I like how the kids wore Shane Victorino's number. How awesome that a Hawaii connection was made again. Good timing too -- with the World Series going on and the Hawaiian vacation set to air next month.

I think it's so cool that J&K got to renew their vows where they originally wanted to get married.
I like how she showed the kids the wedding video and talked about how this is something that they want to do with the kids so they can see that Mom and Dad love each other.
Sidenote: the kids are getting so big! Hearing Hannah asking questions and stuff while they were watching the video made me think "wow they're growing up so fast, back when the show started, the little kids needed subtitles."
