My prediction - the vast majority of people will not care.

Rays in 5. They're a lot better than the Phillies all around. If Cole can't get a win tonight (he and Kaz is the only pitching matchup that favors Philly) then it may be a Rays sweep.

Cole Hamels was pretty awesome, and has been pretty awesome this whole season.
I hate to make an effort comment, because it's pretty difficult to tell if a player is putting forth effort from watching it on TV, but it sure looked like B.J. Upton took it easy on a few plays (both hitting and running). He's way too good to pull that stuff.

I can't stand Joe Buck or Tim McCarver. I wish they could hire the Mets broadcast team for these games; they're about the best announcers out there.

I still think the Rays are going to win, and I still think they're the better team (from the better league), but if the Phillies bring Hamels back for games 4 and (if necessary) 7...that may change.

Hamels won't pitch again until game 5 unless there is a rainout.

Upton dogged it.

I'm not a baseball fan at all, but I just found (via an alumna association email) out that Andy Sonnastine (who will pitch for Tampa Bay tomorrow) is a Kent State alumnus. Cool.

I can't believe I haven't posted in this thread yet.....
Being a Tampa Bay native it is amazing to have the Rays in the playoffs for the first time, not to mention the World Series!!!

The entire area was in a state of shock when we clinched the pennant last Sunday night....No matter what happens, this year has been amazing!!!

I hope the Phillies keep dropping all those balls!!!

While I'm happy the Phillies won and silenced all the nay-sayers, I have to say that this was one of the most boring World Series ever...more boring that last year's.

FINALLY!! You all knew I would be excited about the Phillies' win. I even got my new big tv in time to see the game last night.
