I am a legacy! My older sister was a Theta & I joined the same chapter a couple years after she left. Loved it! I'm not so sure I had much of a choice, but to join Theta. It was the only chapter I was invited to for the last day of recruitment (to go to the chapters). Showed up for Bid Day and was excited to open my bid & find out it was from Theta!
Can't believe I've been an alum for 3 1/2 years now! (last active semester was fall 04, then left for student teaching for a year and graduation)

YOu can see a photo of myself and my little Theta legacy here (no FB login required):

And here is one of her with some of the active members of my chapter:

No pressure for her to go Theta or anything.

I can't believe I never posted to this thread. I was/am a Theta legacy - my older sister is also a Theta. We were Kappa legacies, but my sister didn't click with the Kappas on her campus and the Kappas hadn't come to my campus yet when I was there. I also have a Theta aunt, and my brother ended up marrying a Theta, so I now also have a Theta sister-in-law).

My daughter (a newly-minted 6 year-old) knows some Theta songs, especially Rock-a-Bye, as does my son (8 1/2). Son got to sleep in Theta HQ when he was 6 months old. He was _not_ thrilled about it at the time!

If my girl stays on the same social track she's on in 1st grade, she will be all over sororities by the time she gets to college. Her dream day is spending the whole day with a bunch of girl-friends. She's even got the drama down already. . . God help us all!

I saw these pictures on the Recruitment board as well, and I want to say that I just about melted in my chair when I saw them. Not only is your daughter just about the cutest girl I've ever seen, but she already fits right in with those classy classy Thetas.

Aww

Awww thanks for all the sweet comments about my daughter. I think she's pretty darn cute and I'm not the least bit biased. I try to take her to bid day every year. I figure if she's exposed to Theta for 18 years, she cannot deny me when she goes off to school.
