Rushing at ole miss

I was thinking about rushing at Ole Miss, and wanted to know how tough it is to join a decent frat.

No, it's fraternity. Particularly at Ole Miss.

It's a hugely competitive rush at Ole Miss because of the fact that it's the best Greek system in the country. On the flip side, the chapters are very strong the whole way down the tier system. Even the mediocre chapters at Ole Miss would be pretty good most other places.

Money you're from northern Virginia.

Gross.

Well, now, that's spitting distance from Richmond, the seat of the Confederacy. I believe that should make you more "fratty-legit", right, fellas?

It makes him far better than some northern piece of trash.

Virginia's too far north anyways.

Ole Miss is a tough rush for out of staters, but you can give it a go and do your best.

Although i am not white and i am from afghanistan-well sort of white
i hate the people that live in Northern Virginia because they don't consider themselves Southern.
They also talk shit about rest of virginia because they think they are better.

Lots of Texas guys go there and pledge.

I guess it depends on what state.

On a side note - my brother in law was a Sigma Chi at Ole Miss back in the early 90's. His composite that I happened to see was from, I think, 1993, and they had an African American in the chapter - so maybe some chapters are a bit more open to other ethnicities than others.

They have one now, I believe.

I think it came about 2 years ago.

I believe that was Coach Rob Evans' son (basketball coach back in the day for Ole Miss) and his daughter is a Phi Mu alumna from Ole Miss as well. Chapters are definitely open to diversity, so don't think you are out of the boat completely.

As far as your chances at Ole Miss, just see what happens. You will have almost two months to meet fraternity members since recruitment doesn't begin until October 15 this year.
