Post The size/best Panhellenic Council/IFC in the nation

Does anyone know which institution gets the title of the biggest greek system in the nation? How about the best in the nation?

Iowa State received the best Panhellenic Council award in the midwest last year (2000).

We have 15 international sororities, 28 international fraternities and 1 local fraternity.

Not quite positive on this but try doing a search on the greek life board. Maybe you will find a thread that will help answer your question. I heard Penn St has a huge greek system.
The greek system at my school is very small, and just has a handful of each.

Well I am an alum from PSU...and we were always told that PSU was the biggest Greek System. At last count ( and keep in mind I am not there anymore) we had 54 IFC fraternities, and 21 PHC sororities. I do not know a count, but there were several, NPHC fraternties and sororities, Asian, Hispanic, local, and service.

hey, right now at psu their are 61 fraternities and 27 sororities. the greek system is huge there and big as ever. We are the biggest greek system in terms of number of fraternities and sororities. I am pretty sure University of Illinois is second in size.

Penn State is the closest, with 21 of the groups. Purdue has 21 groups on its Panhel but they are not all NPC.

I think it would be SO awesome to see a campus with all 26 NPC groups - OK Penn Staters, get cracking!
