Leslie,

I think that's a really great idea! I can't think of any of the top of my head, but if I do remember any later, I will post them.

How about "We Are Family" for an uptempo selection?

I love this one! After singing to one of our sisters at her wedding, we all danced to this song together. It was our song; nobody else was allowed on the dance floor. Haha.

Mulberry Lane's "Sister" on their CD "Run Your Own Race". If you're not familiar with them check out our Chi Omega Forum and look for the thread Mulberry Lane...I posted the words there (I think).

Alpha Beta's theme: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun- Cyndi Lauper.
I like this idea to and was actually thinking about making on for myself. I think I'll do one for my lil too. She'll need something for exams.
Ha, Thinking about "We Are Family" has me singing "We Are AGD. I Got All My Sisters With Me."

Leslie,

What about "These Are The Days" (I think that's the title, I'm having a brain-lapse) from 10,000 Maniacs? One that was popular with our chapter--and a little more off-the-wall-- was "Our House" by Madness. Bette Midler's version of "The Rose" is a nice choice also.

"A Friend to Me" by Garth Brooks

I asked one of my sisters for background song ideas for a slide show I want to do at formal and she put this song on for me to listen to. I just love it.

Talking

I always liked the song "Closing Time" -- made me think of all the nights spent down at the local Greek hangout with my sisters!

More Songs

Im sure Leslie has burned the CD by now, but I wanted to add more songs.

Another AB theme song: I Will Survive- Gloria Gaynor
I Will Remember You- Sarah McLachlan or Amy Grant
Here's To The Night- Eve 6 (ok its about aone nighter, but you can completey take the words another way and think about your last days in the house as a collegiate)
Get What You Give- New Radicals
Sister Golden Hair- America (I've always liked this song, but I liked it even more when the Today show played it during Katie Courics memories of her days at UVA and her Tri-Delt chapter. Now everytime I hear it I think about my house and all the scrapbooks with photos ranging from the 1920's, '60's-'90's)
