Question Rushing?

Rushing is getting harder and harder here at my college. the college does not make greek life fun here any more. i pledged last year with 15, and we got three others in the fall. so my class has 18, that is a great rush. but this year we got four. how do you go from 18 to 4? we were never taught how to rush, are tactic is to be ourselves...but obvisiously that didn't work....does anybody have any advice, or can anyone come to our chapter and give a workshop on how to rush? it is the Epsilon Chapter at Bethany College in West Virginia. it's by Wheeling, and kinda near morgantown. please offer ideas..

You should email Nelson Kanning at HQ. The other guy that does it is Jeff Feigner (sp?) they both gave an EXCELLENT and highly recommended seminar on recruitment at the College of Chapters last summer. Essentially the technique they suggested was rushing by pushing high committment and love honor and truth instead of what we (at least my chapter) used to sell -- chicks and parties (of course those can be enticing also!).

What works on my campus also is to show that you have fun and make good grades. That's generally what your typical freshman (at least the ones you want) are going to be interested in.
