Airlines theme

This year we have decide to do an airlines theme for one of our recruitment days. I was just wondering if there are any ideas for a skit, porch songs, outfits, decorations, anything! We are starting from scratch so any ideas would be awesome!

We did that for ADPi! I think it was "Fly the Azure Blue Skies" or something like that. I wonder if they still have the 50+ airline trays...?

Passing out bags of pretzels or peanuts? Ok, seriously. You could do a lot with an Airplane Party theme.
If it's informal and you are inviting PNMs, send out "e-tickets". Pass out "boarding passes" as they arrive
Direct people to baggage claim
Have Gate numbers (maybe bumping stations)
Make announcements like the flight attendents do
Have a First Class Meal Service
I think you can buy milar balloons shaped like airplanes. If not, you can get airplane mobiles to hang from the ceiling. Docorate tables with toy airplanes and peanuts
Have "emergency exits" and "laveratories". For a craft, you could make paper airplanes (you can throw them if you want to have fun)
I would definitely dress in uniforms (plain navy skirts, vests, floppy ties and white blouses)
Thank them for flying Delta Airlines.
Maybe go to You Tube for some commercials and jingles: "We love to fly and it shows"

Ha! You could change it to "We love Tri-Delta and it shows!"

Wow. That was one of my favorite rush parties.

As we walked into the house, we were handed a ticket and were then ushered down the hall to a large room. When we got there, the stewardess took our ticket and another stewardess showed us to our seats. (The room transformation was AMAZING. It looked just like the inside of an airplane but without the overhead compartments. The ceiling was even lowered and barrelled.) Each chair had seatbelts (5" black ribbon) and as the stewardesses did the pre-flight safety speech, others checked to make sure that we were buckled in. They had gotten Delta peanuts from a local distributor and those were our snacks. The in-flight "movie" was actually a skit of Tri Deltas around the world. Five countries were chosen and they tied whatever national passtime to Tri Delta. Hunting Big Game in Africa, for example, was tied to finding lifetime sisterhood.

Keep in mind that that was still in the era of full-frills rush!

I know that the Tri Deltas at University of Washington did this theme...they wore pencil skirts, heels and I think red button up flight shirts.
it was really cute!

we did it at my school. we did a mix of a bunch of songs about different places but substituting words for "deltas" and "dolphins" and "silver, gold, and blue" etc. one of them was "delta's all over the world" to the tune of (and with background music of) pimpin all over the world by ludacris i think.
