Pin?
Does this pin belong to this ZTA? I thought it might possibly be something like a ZTA recognition pin or fathers pin.

That's beautiful! But I've never seen it before. Where did you find it?

I believe it is an older recognition pin that was sold as a fundraiser many years ago.

Sorry to crash...a ZTA once told me any crown associating with ZTA had to have 5 points. It's an absolutely stunning pin, but I wonder why it doesn't have 5 points.

A five-pointed crown is now our official symbol but several styles of crowns have been used in a variety of ways over the years. The original version of our badge had a 3-pointed crown.
What is pictured is a recognition pin given many years ago (60's or 70's, maybe?) to honor certain levels of giving to ZTA. There was at least one other version, too, that has a turquoise stone in it. I don't know what the levels were or how the pins were given out though.
I've got access to a couple of these but thought I would get one for myself off of Ebay. A collector outbid me, then had the nerve to e-mail me after the fact to ask what it was. Idiot.

I hope you told him you could tell him - but then you would have to kill him!
