The last time I got a woman flowers she was screaming and throwing shoes and what not at me. Of course, I was waiting inside her shower and not the front door.

I love getting flowers... Most definitely when having a bad day...(that means he was listening to me vent and not just holding the phone away from his ear.
Not so much on Valentines Day... So typical

Getting flowers that are totally unexpected is a lovely thing. I hate hate hate the "I'm sorry I screwed up" flowers because thats the only time I seem to get them. Plus, flowers for V-day are silly to me. I don't understand paying twice to three times the normal rate for the same flowers just because of the date on the calender. I would rather he use the money he would have spent on flowers and buy me a massage instead.
