Question Ladies: NEED ADVICE re: POTENTIAL JEWELRY PURCHASE

I saw this bracelet in the Tiffany catalog and was thinking of ordering it. It's a little unusual; do you like it or no?

http://www.tiffany.com/html/shopping...tem_retail=135

Thanks for your opinions!

Tracy: I have the return to tiffany tag one and love it. I think the flag is cute, but it doesn't really match my usual clothes. I do like it.

Have you seen the one with all hearts connected with a gold heart in the middle? It's supper cute, I'm crossing my fingers that I get it!

well...no. I don't like it. Call me unpatriotic, but I always thought American flag jewelry and clothing was very tacky. I'd rather just fly the flag outside my house. If you want a Tiffany bracelet, I love my Return to Tiffany bracelet. I'm also hoping for one of the Elsa Peretti zodiac symbol necklaces for my birthday (ARGH, I just realized that's Sunday, I am getting so OLD!!)

Lexi: I think I know which necklace you're talking about, I tried it on at Tiffany over the holidays but my fiance has to get his car fixed first...it was around $900, right? It's gorgeous.

Yes that's the one! I will be happy with the bracelet, it's not too expensive!

I'm going to NYC in March and cannot wait to visit Tiffany & Co!

Did you see the 1837: new thin bangle, it is also super cute! or the figure 8 pearl earrings? So much great Tiffany, so little money!

I like the design of the bracelet, but not sure about the flag design, you may get tired of the flag. I think the "return to" that KappaStar talked about would be more timeless, and that is always a consideration for me when thinking of spending $135 on a bracelet.

Just my $.02

IOWA, THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT JEWELRY FROM TIFFANY'S!!!!

Sorry, but we are both major addicts to that store! Anyway, I am sorry to say that i really dont like it. The bracelet itself is cute, as i think everyone else agrees but the charm just looks out of place in my opinion. It doesnt look good together. I'd seen that bracelet before and wondered if anyone has even bought one. I mean, sometimes its cute to wear like a flag pin, but the flag doesnt look good on the chain link bracelet. The tiffany's heart and return bracelet are the same price, but i would definitely not pay 135 for that bracelet, sorry i just dont like it.

Its cute, but more than likely just cashing in on this wave of patriotism.

Tracy, isn't your husband in the service? If so, the bracelet might have more meaning to you than just the look. Then, I'd maybe consider getting it.

Mom called Tiffany's today and ordered the Round Tag bracelet for my birthday next week! I can't wait until it arives!

For those of you that have your hearts/tags engraved - do you have initials or your full name? I can't decide!

Tiffany's will only engrave 3 letters - most likely initials. but i know of people who get their engraving done somewhere else and have goten their full name or their initials and their birthday or something... one of my sisters boyfriends got her the heart tag with K.B. & S.H.

Wonder if you could get it engraved with sorority initials? Z.T.A. LOL Easy enough... printed the same as the English alphabet

Right now I am about four blocks away from Tiffany & Co. If you buy something from Tiffany I strongly recommend you to have the engraving done elsewhere. It is expensive, and there is a long wait.

I don't know that the long wait is in every location. I got my return to keychain engraved in 2 hours at the Tiffany in Las Vegas, and they did a great job

I saw it in the catalog Tracy and I like it. If I didn't already have the "return" I would probably get it. I really dig the big thick 1837 cuff. Actually I saw quite a bit of stuff in there I would like to get.
