Insomniac
Did anyone watch Insomniac on Comedy Central tonight? They went to a fraternity party. I won't say which fraternity, but I can't believe the stuff they showed on TV. They showed them playing drinking games, a pledge (which means he probably wasn't 21) drinking, bongs, and lots of hard alcohol. I know this stuff is in most if not all fraternity houses, but to show this and their letters, with the city they were in. It can't be good if their headquarters catch wind of it. Any other thoughts on this?

your right it is horrible, I watche dbits and pieces of it and happened to catch that part and was blown that they showed it on TV, but then again it's cable and it's comdey central, so they really show whatever. It 's not smart of the Fraternity's part either just for the fact they showed their letters and what area/state they are in, so if there school officials and or headquarters see it, there might be some trouble

If they were stupid enough to consent to this (and believe me, there are all kinds of forms they have to sign, while sober, to allow Comedy Central to air this) then they are probably gonna get what they deserve. It is sad that they will tarnish the whole reputation of GLO's and especially their chapter.

I saw ads for it, too, and it was quite easy to catch a glimpse of the letters being worn.

A chapter so incredibly stupid as to allow things like that to go on in their house, much less on national television, should be shut down immediately and all members EXPELLED!!!!! People like that are why the Greek Community has the reputation it does! I REALLY hope the national office finds out and holds these idiots accountable!!!
BTW:
Click here for the story from Insomniac's website.
They mentioned Boston and Harvard Square, so it was one or the other of these two groups (I didn't personally see the show):
Massachusetts Gamma Colony of SAE - Harvard U.
Cambridge, MA
or
Massachusetts Beta-Upsilon Chapter - Boston U.
Allston, MA
One of my chapter's newer initiates who saw the show said it was Harvard, but we all know about rumors.

thats the point of the show... to show parties, etc. However, not a good move by that fraternity to let them do a show there.

Yeah, I saw it :(
I caught the re-run early Saturday morning. I couldn't believe my eyes! What's worse, if you watch the end credits, "Insomniac" gives a credit using the fraternity in question's name in the "Special thanks to" section.

I saw it last night. I can't say it was that bad. They were for tobacco use only. If you don't want to be wild and party then fine, but don't tell the rest of us who are having to stop.
