I was just curious what type of activities do your chapters do for service hours?! I am looking for more creative activities!

We trained seeing eye dogs and helped with vision testing at schools.

Sorry to crash here, but the DG alums (although collegians could do it too) in my area volunteered for the Radio Information Service, which basically is a service that reads the newspaper, magazines etc over the radio for visually impaired/blind people and gives them special transmitters so they can hear it (it's on a special frequency). You might want to see if there's anything like that in your area (although I'm not explaining it too well!).

You could volunteer at your state school for the blind, or contact the US Association for Blind Athletes (www.usaba.org) about getting involved if there are local teams of blind athletes.
