Okay, this has been bugging me ever since we found out that pregnant women die on this island...
The island is supposed to have healing powers. Locke legs, Rose's cancer, Jin's super-sperm, parachute girl's lung. But why did a) Ben get cancer, b) Edward Mars die a slow death, c) Boone die from his injuries, and d) all 9 pregnant Others die?

Last nights episode was great. So the island may be Hell and Ben is the devil

I'm thinking that they're trying to play off this whole Hell thing a little too much, trying to make us think that it's the only possiblity for this island... Does that make any sense?
They've fooled us many times, what's to stop them from doing it again? hehe

That was such a good episode but then again, Locke episodes are always great. Next week is Ben episode. I'm super excited about that and about Juliet getting busted by Sawyer.

Does Jack know/think Kate is pregnant? What did he not want to tell her?

Maybe the coordinates are the "same numbers" that Hurley used to win the lottery; i.e. degrees longitude, latitude, minutes and seconds. I seem to recall that there were 6 numbers so using degrees, minutes and seconds for long. and lat. = 6 different numbers!!!!
I also like the idea of a "parallel" universe a la Twilight Zone. Maybe there are "two" of everyone...the ones that "died" on the plane in the ocean trench and the ones that live on the weird island. I'm getting glad that we're getting more of the loose ends tied up. It was driving me nuts. But I still feel like we never got an adequate explanation for Ecko. (pouting)
Also: remember, Ben said that he was born on the island (but so was Aaron), but was Ben "conceived" on the island, or elsewhere like Aaron?

So I was just thinking -- it would pretty much suck to be pregnant on an island. I mean one without houses and stuff. I don't think I could do it.

I haven't seen it yet myself, but will make sure I see it next week because I've heard so much about it.

Too funny, I posted this in 2004, but my Mom just told me yesterday that this is her theory for Lost now. At least that they really are dead already and are either in purgatory or in hell. She thinks that the ones who have "died" on the island since then either left purgatory for heaven or hell or earned their way out of hell...

ABC sets end date for LOST
This is good news. We have 3 more years of the show. I'm glad just b/c I don't want it to become an X-Files fiasco that runs for far longer than it should.

Ohmigod, 3 more years!
I absolutely love this show, but I was hoping that next season would be the last... it's getting a little too drawn out and the loose ends need to be tied up.
But of course I will still watch it!

Ya know, it's hard to consider 48 episodes as 3 seasons. They should've done just two more seasons (24 episodes per season). But they didn't ask me.
I've heard the powers that be have said that the island isn't purgatory or hell. I hope they mean it. I'll be so upset if I watch the last three seasons just to find out that all our losties are dead. Then again, I'll be just as upset if season three reveals that this has just been a very long dream (I've never gotten over Dallas's "Who Shot JR" dream sequence!).

Maybe it will be like Gilligans Island and they NEVER get rescued!

Each season has been a month of island time. Six seasons = Six months. This means we'll likely never see WALT! or any of the children again. At least not the original actors. It'd be hard to explain why the 12 year old is macking on Kate.

That was freaky how Ben was instrumental in "offing" the entire DHARMA INITIATIVE. Whoah!!! I did not see that coming at all. That scientist guy who looks like "Will" from Will and Grace is definitely a freak, to agree to this genocide, not to mention Jacob-The-Invisible....Whoah!!!
