Betarulz,

Although I respect your opinion, I felt your post was somewhat patronizing towards me. If you got the impression that I wanted everyone to come away with the impression that everyone in my sorority is totally perfect, nice to everyone, etc. and that any negative opinion expressed is a lie/should be ignored, then you completely misunderstood.

I was absolutely not directing my post at the people who are/were sharing their personal experiences - negative or postive - but rather at the select few individuals who didn't even bother to register (because they have no intention of being a member of this community) whose boring stereotypical regurgitations ("Try Delta, everyone else has" and the Tri delts are sluts and bitches comments) I do not consider to be helpful or even honest contributions to this topic.

While I agree that the Greeks on this board probably know better, and can ignore these comments, I DO care what potential rushees and non-Greeks come away with from a discussion like this. It is my impression that non-Greeks are the ones who usually initiate the "What is **** like" topics, which is why it personally frustrates me when stupid/nasty comments are posted by people who couldn't care less.

For the record, I totally respect the opinions of the individuals on this board, regardless of if they agree with me or not. If someone had a bad experience, feel free to post it, - in fact, I have an even greater admiration for those who have the courage to communicate an opinion that goes against the flow.

Thanks,
Carrie

P.S. To answer your question about joining Delta Delta Delta if I had attended another school, I have to answer that by saying I feel it was my destiny to be a part of this organization, however hokey that sounds to you.

I agree with TriDelt4ever, I beleive it was my destiny to be in this organization, it's opened up my eyes and world to many new things, I've met some of my best friends and this aspect of my life will be with me forever. Just a few of my thoughts.....

I had Tri Delta at the school I transferred from and we do not have it here. However, it doesn't really matter what I think of them. I think every sorority is good as long as the people who are members love it. All of our sororities stand for essentially the same principles. I mean, have you ever heard of a sorority that has a purpose that was drastically different from your own? I am sure that DDD is great!
