Greek Games
Yeah, we won! The last two years we lost by just one or two events, but this year we finally did it! The trophy is back home where it belongs! We won 3 of the 6 athletic events, and blood drive, which counted for 2 events. I'm on such a high right now!

Congratulations!
One question about the blood drives...is it a requirement to participate? Because I have the BIGGEST needle phobia!!!

Congrats!! How much fun did you all have?!?! We do not have Greek games here and I would LOVE to have them! What events did you have to do, how many participated, etc?? Thanks!

No, blood drive isn't mandatory, but we had 70% either give blood or work at the blood drive. Some people just couldn't give blood because of illness, tattoos, or whatever else.
We had a lot of fun with the games, and afterwards, we went swimming in the lake on campus with the Chi O's, because they won the girls greek games. The events were: Cart, Obstacle course, mystery, canoe race, pyramid, and tug-o-war.
For cart, it's a relay with 2 guys pushing a go-cart(with no engine obviously) and one guy driving. O-Course is pretty self explanatory. Mystery is different every year. Panhellenic came up with it this year. It was a relay type thing with different parts, crab walk, piggy back ride, spinning around a bat and sprinting back, passing a lifesaver with toothpicks, that kind of thing. The canoe race is a relay. One team of 2 guys goes a lap, brings the canoe back, and then the other team does another lap. For pyramid, 15 guys sprint about 40 yards, and build a pyramid at the end. I was in that one. Tug is a one ton tug. You're allowed as many guys as you want, but in total, they can't weigh over a ton.
We won cart, canoe and tug. We win tug like every year.
