Composite Question
my chapter is doing composites for the first time and we were interested in purchasing that piece of material that girls wear to make them all look the same but i (1) don't know the name of it and (2) don't know where to find one.
if anyone has an suggestions, please let me know. thanks!

Most reputable composite companies will already have that for you.

Whenever we do our composites, the composite company provides several drapes to use during the day.

I think "drape" is the term as the post about mine says.
And I agree that you are having the composition made by a professional photographer, he or she will probably have on.
But I was wondering, with the quality of digital images and the number of professional printing places, couldn't a chapter make it's own compositions these days if they wanted to, particularly a smaller chapter?

I think it depends on the type of composite you want. If you just want a photo that is a composite, then I would guess yes, that could be possible. The actual main composite though is sometimes not on photo, but a board with each person's individual picture mounted on it.
I have also seen alot of smaller groups going the professionally photographed group photo route. The pictures still turn out great, and it can be alot less expensive--the only challenge is getting everyone there.

I like the idea of everyone wearing the same thing. However, I know after 4 years I was sick of those drapes! I really like ΑΓΔSquirrelGirl's idea and what her chapter did. I will say this the prettiest composites I ever saw were of Phi Mu's at Ole Miss, where they took their pictures outside and the entire thing was just gorgeous! Each girl if I remember correctly wore a black top with pearls. It looked really nice.

We did outside photos, too, with everyone wearing a black top of their choosing. It always looked really nice! The natural light made everyone look great, and the sunshine made our hair look really shiny We looked uniform and neat, but we were all allowed to stand out as individuals too.
