Tampa Vs Philly

oh oh my goodness, did anyone watch the game tonite, the Tampa Vs. Philly game although the game technically doesn't count cause they have to do it all over again, in a few days, but woah, what the ....... So did anyone see the fact that all 3 strings got to play tonite, for both teams. and can you believe Tampa lost in the last what was hmm 5 or 4 minutes,. definetly what the hell. I mean 17-14. I mean I thought we had em, but hopefully the first string will do there jobs when they play philly again, and show them what the real deal is!!!!

OK, this is probably a stupid question-- but why do they have to do it again in a few days?

The two teams are meeting again in the first round of the playoffs. Essentially, as far as standings are concerned, this was a meaningless game. Neither team could improve or worsen their playoff seeding, they were going to meet each other in the first round of the playoffs anyways.

That is correct , they will meet in the playoffs and then it wil be back to normal. I mean no ones starters really even started, and for just having the 2nd and 3rd strings in, they made it an interesting game. So it wasn't bad to watch, I mean a lot of people who normally would not have played got that once in a life time chance, so that I definetly can't complain. But in general it was just a crazy game.
Whos everyone rooting for in the Playoffs? I say Tampa allll the way!!!

I've been waiting sooooo long for Tampa to actually-come-through during playoffs. It's a long shot but maybe us tampa fans will get lucky this year!!

My fingers are crossed!

Seeing as my Giants are out of the playoffs...

I'd like to see Tampa Bay win to save Tony Dungy's job, or at least make a run. The guy's a heck of a coach, it'd be nice to see him lead Tampa Bay to their first Super Bowl.

The Bears will be interesting to watch too - Brian Urlacher is unreal, one of the best linebackers in the game (maybe the best one not named Ray Lewis). It'd be kinda cool to see him go against Jerome Bettis in the Super Bowl....

As far as predictions go....not sure yet, I'll repost when I decide. This was, after all, a season where Tom Brady, who wasn't even supposed to be the starter, turned out to be voted to the Pro Bowl. So random...

Weeeellll . . .

No one will beat the Rams at home, barring some sort of severe breakdown.

I say Eagles over TB, and GB over the 9ers (Brett Favre is the best non-Rams player in the NFL) - then I'll take both the Bears at home, and the Rams at home. Rams take it, only b/c the Bears O can't play well enough and the Rams are positively dominating on offense.

In the AFC - the Raiders are back on their heels, and I'm sure they don't relish another match with the Jets if that's how it goes down - although w/ Janikowski, I'll give them the win. The other game's a toss-up - I think the Pats and Steelers are tough at home, so I'll take the Steelers to come out of the AFC, and get whooped in the SB. And I'm a Steelers fan - it's just that the Rams are that tough . . .

Thumbs up

GO BUCS!!!! Like any good USF student, I root for the home team. If it's Dungy's last season, I hope they can go all the way. As for the rumors about Spurrier coming to the Bay...I guess it would make for some entertaining games!

Totally agree 100%, definetly if it's just for good ole Coach Tony D, did you all hear his mother had passed away this season. Isn't that just so sad They mentioned something about it during the game, or rather before the game when they interviewed him.
Really, I am ready to see Mcnab and Keyshauwn(if I spelled that right) do some damage but we'll see for the next game.
Playoff predictions, well I too will wait and see but anyone but the Ravens

I want my Niners to take it ALL. It is, after all, probably my last year living in my hometown around SuperBowl time! I want to see my city go wild after the SuperBowl win; that would be fun!

I HATE GREEN BAY. Though Brett Favre, a class act, does make them a teensy, eensy bit more likeable. But not that much!

Well, since my #1 team did absolutely crappy this year (Dallas Cowboys) I'm gonna have to root for TB! Go Bucs!

BTW newbie...I'll forget your comments about how the Niners rule! You're still one cool chick...but the Niners?! Aaaaahhh! LOL! I will have to agree with you on the Green Bay point though! The only reason I MAY think about liking them is Brett Favre.
