As someone who is... well how do I put this..... bottom heavy..... I can't wear Sevens b/c of my thighs. But I have found that Citizens are cut a bit more forgiving. Still snug, but nothing like Sevens.

Joe's Jeans are great if you're curvy. I don't like Chip & Pepper because their jeans are cut weird. I tried them on at Saks and I had to go up like 3 or 4 sizes than what I normally wear and they were still weird.

I completely agree - AE jeans used to be the only brand that would fit me until I discovered Sevens. Citizens also fit well, but it depends on the cut. Some styles (like the A-pocket Sevens) run a bit more snug.

Again, I don't really have much in the way of hips/butt either.

Sevens will not fit me, no matter how many styles or sizes I find. They just don't like me. Same thing with True Religions. I talked to a woman working at the Nordie's here and she said Sevens aren't as high of quality denim as other brands, and aren't made as well (in terms of fit) because they're so popular and mass produced. The owner of Uniquities (a local upscale boutique) also agreed with this.

I usually wear Rock & Republics, which are my favorites, but I always have to get them hemmed because I guess they assume their customers are all like, 5'10". I also really like Blue Cults and PPD (Paige Premium Denim). I'm been meaning to try some Citizens but everytime I go to drop a bundle on jeans, I always go back to my trusty Rock & Republics. ESPECIALLY my Victoria Beckham for Rock & Republics. Looooooove them. Abercrombie & Fitch jeans also fit me surprisingly, and it makes me feel great I can wear a 2 or a 4 there, and a 6 or an 8 other places. Sometimes I get kinda bummed that despite being 5'4" and weighing about 125lbs, I still have to wear a 6/8 or a 29 in jeans...I guess my Croatian and German heritage gives me some wide hips and junk in the trunk

everyone i know who has a pair of sevens are very happy with them.
just be careful of imitations, they usually dont go under the 90-100 dollar range when on sale. (reg price around 140)

My friend found some sevens at Macy's for $14. No joke!!

They were not imitations...and she like quadrupled checked the price. The sales woman she asked said "well i dont think they [meaning the people at the register] will sell it to you." But they did!

Are they Sevens or Seven for all Mankind? There's a difference.

I'm a big fan of Rock and Republics. I have a small waist and wide hips and I can wear them without having to take them up in the waist, and they're not too baggy in the hips/thigh area.

Are you serious? I have that same issue, and jean shopping makes me crazy! If I want to fit my hips, I have to buy a size larger than what would fit my waist. Finding a pair that actually fit like they were supposed to would be a dream come true! I like all the Rock & Republic styles I've seen, so maybe I'll give them a try.

I just can't find jeans short enough. When they get hemmed, they often lose their slight flare (I can't seem to describe it) at the bottom. eh they always look hemmed.
Aparently companies consider women who are 5'4 petite, so even petites don't work. I'm 5'1 (with shorter legs than torso) and I'm so sick of trying on jeans that are a foot too long.

I have that problem too. I'm 5'2. I gave up and just roll or cuff up the bottoms or wear boots or higher heels.
