I'm glad Phi Mu has worked out for you! And don't think you were the first young woman to come into recruitment thinking "I'll talk to the parents/figure out the dues later." Every year, great women get bids and have to drop for not taking that into account. One of my chapter sisters was incredibly fortunate to receive a bid from us 2 years in a row-- the first year she couldn't afford it-- the next time recruitment came around she was ready! Glad you have been able to experience being a "Macon Magnolia!"

Hi Everyone! I heard back and I'm so excited! First I got an email saying I would be contacted in the upcoming weeks, and I got an invitation to a meeting next month in the mail this week.

And just when I lost hope...

I am. Plus, I'll have a lot more time to devote to AI now that Fall is coming up.

Good luck!

Are you still near the chapter that originally extended you a bid?

The chapter that gave me a bid is actually more than 1,000 miles away. But luckily this sorority has very active chapters all over the country, so I lucked out. I haven't even researched other organizations because it's this house or nothing! I just feel like I was meant to be there and now I have a second chance.

Thank you! For the first time in my life, I believe I am actually nervous. I love my friends like sisters, but to actually have sisters all over the entire world is another story! I know it takes a lot of time, but I'm willing to give it.

I met with the ladies this week. It was a very positive experience, and I'm looking forward to getting to know them better as time goes by.
