Vanilla Sky

I was just wondering if anyone else saw Vanilla Sky this weekend. I have to say it was the most confusing movie I've ever seen. I left the theater scratching my head, as did the rest of the audiece I believe. When I first heard about the movie I thought it was a love story; then I saw the previews and thought it would be this suspenseful thriller; then I watched it and realized it was something totally different again. I wouldn't say it was a bad movie, but I wouldn't say it was good either. I'm just confused about the whole thing.

On another note, Tom Cruise gave a really good performance. But, Penelope Cruz was just horrible.

Actually, I didn't think it was confusing at all . . . it made me sad and melancholy though. I think it would hit a cord with anyones that hasn't had a perfect life, has missed opportunities, or has had tragic things happen to them for no seeming rhyme or reason . . .

What weren't you sure about we could discuss it . . .

I saw it got bad reviews...which usually means it's a good movie. My boyfriend and I went this past Saturday, and much like everyone else who went to see it, I had totally different expectations. However.....

I LOVED it! I thought I would be entertained (and I was), but I also had to think. Anytime a movie challenges me, it has turned itself from a "Hollywood movie" into a film......

It kinda confused me too. It was hard for me to follow. My friends thought the same thing. By the end of the movie, I figured it out...I think.

I TOTALLY agree!I was relating alot of the things that he talked about to life in general... I LOVED IT....it was a really confusing movie but it was something that just kinda made me sad when he was on the roof saying goodbye to her...the whole thing about in another life with cats!! omg i started to tear up...lol but it was definitly good... i think its one of those movies that when you see it again you catch things that you didnt see before...
great movie....

Have not seen the movie but I was soooo fed up with the trailors on t.v. - it seemed like they played every 15 minutes!!! If I saw Cameron Diaz ask Tom Cruise one more time "Do you believe in God" or him almost falling off the roof- I was going to go crazy!!! Is it my imagination or do they play these movie trailors on t.v. to death????

I saw it and loved it!

I feel it was like the matrix, I have to see it a few times to catch everything, but thought it was worth my $7.00...more so than any other movie I have seen lately!

I saw it over the weekend and enjoyed it. I didn't have any problem understanding it, but one of my friends needed it explained a few times. I can't offer any comments without spoiling it, though.
Go see it and then discuss it over coffee with friends!

CRAP!!!

This movie was total crap. It was exciting and interesting for the first hour and a half, because I expected there to be some great ending. Well, the ending was TOTAL CRAP. What a cop-out!

By far the best movie I've seen all year!! Of course, that new Russell Crowe movie comes out soon though But this movie kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire time. And thankfully, they give NOTHING away in that trailor

I saw the movie tonight. On a scale of 1-5, I give it a 2. It was ok. I understodd it but I just thought they could've thought of a better ending. It seems as if the ending had just been thrown on there. It seemed as if the screenwriters had to wrap it up somehow and were just like, "Oh...here's an ending no one would've guessed....."

I saw this movie the other night. It was rather strange, not anything I am used to seeing. It was a bit confusing in the beginning, but I caught on quickly. It was a mind-puzzling movie, that I feel I need to see a couple of times more in order to make sure I understood everything. If you like that kind of thing, I recommend you see it. If not, don't see it!

It was not one of my all time favorite movies but I enjoyed it. I feel that this is the type of movie can have whatever meaning you read into it. I also feel that this is the type of movie I would enjoy more the second time through. Now that i figured it out I'd like to see it from the beginning again to see what i missed the first time through.

It's definitely not the worst movie ever, but I think it got a little ridiculous there towards the end. I understood it, but it just didn't make any sense. Penelope Cruz's voice did keep me entertained, though...if a duck could talk, that's probably what it would sound like. I'm just glad my boyfriend and I got in to see it free, because I'd hate to think I wasted six dollars on that.
