Where did you hear this? I couldn't find anything online about Psi Chi being suspended.

If they do haze, then they should be dropped and not reconized and if your chapter who ever it is should have it happen also.

I am sure it is a local and have no rules what so ever.

Macallan, Psi Chi is an Asian fraternity with chapters at UCSD, UCR and UCD. So yes, you would not have heard of them. They never openly hazed while I was in school. Things change wth time.

Psi Chi Omega at UCR is suspended for 3 years at UCR. They have the option to return after that time (I believe sometime in 2008 or 2009), but will likely be on probation for a few years upon returning. The reason you wouldn't find anything online about their suspension is because suspended and inactive organizations don't appear at all in the student org databases online. Also, there were not any news articles or anything on their suspension.

Actually I found plenty about the UCR chapter. The UCSD chapter is still listed on the school's site.

I go to UCSD, and am personal friends with some of the Psi Chi's here. Also I was on the Warren Judicial Council, so I am very aware of there situation.

Last year, the fraternity was on its annual camping retreat, jumped the fence onto a private beach and started a bonfire. The park rangers came and kicked them out for trespassing. Noticing that they had alchohol and underage students, they reported the information along with the fact that a bunch of actives were wearing their Letters.

They were suspended for alchohol infraction at an event (since they were wearing letters at the beach).

I have been at UCSD for over 3 years and I have never seen any organization, much more the Psi Chi's publicly haze anyone. I have seen the Lacrose Girls team march their new freshmen around wearing undegarments on their head and yelling "i smell like shit" around Price Center, but never any greek orgs.

So please get your information straight.

You can view the UCSD MGC (Mulit Cultural Greek Councile) Website here: http://mgc.ucsd.edu/index.php This shows information regarding which organization is currently active. There are four: GZA, Lambda Phi Epsilon, NAK, and Psi Chi Omega. As of now I am assuming they are not suspended.
