jeffrey should have been auf'd last night, i can't believe he mad angela's mother cry. then didn't offer an apology . and at the end of the show he's talking about they're not all good people, they're not, but robert was one of the good ones. what a hypocrite.

i liked michaels dress, maybe with a different style belt, but i like the idea of it being reversible.

i loved what uli did for kaynes mom. i thought for sure uli was the winner, but i have to give it to vincent, his dress was nice as well.

i'on know what angela was thinking, because that outfit she made, didn't look anything like something audrey hepburn would wear.

I would have legitimately gone temporarily insane if he would have spoken to my mom like that. My mom is a pretty even tempered lady, so she would have tried to remain polite. However, I would have had to drop what I was doing w/my own design and FLY over to his table to check him. I was pissed for Angela and her mom. Oh and yes, the dress looked a fugly mess. Any woman would have left that item on the rack, if it would have even made it that far.

I'm with you Marie- I am very mild-mannered, much like my mother, but when someone disrespects her they get to see the other side of me with the QUICKNESS.

Also- my mother wouldn't have agreed to be his model after that- she would NOT cuss right back at him on national television, but she sure as hell wouldn't aid his efforts in any way. I kinda wanted Angela's mom to have that kind of spine, lol.

I would have preferred Uli to win. She did a good job with Kayne's mom, but also notice that Judy is comfortable in her own skin. Kayne did well with Pamela, Michael's Mom, with one exception -- those friggin' capri pants. Not a good look if you are a petite tweener (could go between straight sizes and plus sizes). I do appreciate the fit.

On full-fashion boards I've checked this morning, others are a bit annoyed with Uli's design because it veers poncho, and their argument is that poncho/cape is out in straight sizes, so why is it OK for plus sizes.

Jeffrey = b**** a**. OK, Darlene (Angela's mom) is unattractive and has a skunky attitude, but you don't call someone's Mom out of her name. But I'm not surprised at the aesthetic prejudice. It permeates the fashion industry.

Robert really jacked this one up. That mess he made for Patricia (Vincent's sis) can be found at some frump store like Catherine's. Patricia strikes me as a nice suburban housewife type who doesn't care about her clothes, but Robert could have done a nice suit she could wear to lunch, church, what have you.

This time, Laura messed up for Pam (Jeff's mother). The scarf was really unnecessary. The rest of the gear I liked.

Michael had a safe choice with Teresa (Robert's sister), who is probably a size 8-10. His dress, though, has thought.

And Joan Kors is the bomb. She's had work done, I'd think, but she is Old Lady Chic.

Why "skunky", Steeltrap? I thought she held her composure pretty well (until she was in private with her daughter) and she appeared to be respectful towards Jeff even though he was a complete a** to her.

This challenge was filled with so much ugly that I don't even know where to start. I felt, with the exception of Michael's wrap dress, that every outfit was a complete bust. From that tomato monstrosity Robert created to that sickening creamsicle confection by Kayne, I was greatly disappointed.

I would go out for mojito's with Michael Kors' mom. I love how deep and gravely her voice is, like she's been puffing on unfiltered Marlboro's and exhaust pipes for the past 20 years.

I can't put my finger on it, LL. Perhaps I was victimized by the editing, but I have a feeling that Darlene has issues. She seems passive-aggressive. Jeff, though, was a prickity prick prick about the whole thing.
Honestly, I wished that the designers had been able to do their own relatives. In particular, although I don't like Vincent, he would have done Patricia (who wore Robert's tomato monstrosit) a whole lot better, since that's his sis.

According to Tim's podcast Darlene wasn't that bad- Jeff was nowhere to be found when they were supposed to be 'consulting' with their clients, and while Jeff was gone he took the opportunity to ask her what she thought. Also, the real instigator of the piece was Angla, who was riling her Mom up and threatening legal action and whatnot.

Now THAT is passive-aggressive. I mean it's one thing to get pissed and let him have it because he disrespected Moms- it's another to punk out and then threaten to sue or something.

I guess I just felt like Angela's Mom didn't want to 'act out' in front of the cameras like her daughter does. She struck me as very restrained, and I just do not see what she did to deserve being called out her name like that except answer Tim's questions (which Jeff should have been the one asking in the first place).

That's the vibe I kinda got. I also felt like she might have been light-weight afraid of Jeff because I sincerely believe that fool would push a little ol' lady into rush hour traffic. What I didn't get is how his mother made excuses for him. Here he is calling someone's mother a b*&^ and making her cry, yet his mom sugarcoated it and called it "stress." I don't care how old I got, my mom would have snatched me up for talking to an elder that way.

^^
And Jeffrey (ugh) won. I am now thoroughly convinced that he will push up close to the final three. I think the next to go will be Kayne. He's on thin ice, much like Robert was.

Remaining Designers

Kayne
Uli
Jeffrey
Laura
Michael
Vincent

I'm hoping the next to be Aufed will be Vincent, Jeffrey and then Kayne. Leaving a final three of Laura, Uli, and Michael. I'm worried, however, because Laura's comment about her profession that was featured in the coming episodes portion of the first episode still has not happened....so maybe she won't make the final three.

I'll admit that I would be heartbroken if Michael did not make the final three. He does not have to win, but I hope he does.

hopefully jeffrey will be the next to go. i want vincent gone as well, but i want jeff to get auf'd first.

jeffrey is just so smug about everything - he looked like a H.A.M last night in his "international jet setter" designs.
