NOW, as a rule I don't. At my previous job it was stated among us that whatever happens here, STAYS here (a stripper was present at my coworkers bridal shower). It doesn't.

Never. All of my coworkers are older than me. The next youngest is 5 years older.

My last company had a lot of young people (fresh out of college / grad school / law school) and we would go to baseball games and do things like happy hour or concerts after work; occasionally we would make weekend plans or take short roadtrips together. It was nice working with and hanging out with a GOOD mix of people.

I had one job that I did form good relationships w/the co-workers and we even now do things together (includes kids) - but in general I don't - we generally don't have the same interest.

Funny, I just had a hangout session with some coworkers on Friday night. In all of the years that I have been working (17 years since I got out of college), this is the first 'crew' I have felt comfortable with to hang out after work. Ordinarily, I pretty much keep to myself at work.

I hang out with co-workers when they ask me to. I have to be feeling what they have planned of course. I've been to clubs, bars, house functions, restaurants, etc with co-workers. Going to a house party this weekend. It's all about your comfort level. I don't care what people say about me. If it gets back to work, I wouldn't care. I've been drunk in front of them, and I plan on being tore back this weekend at the party. All in all, we hang out at least once a week.

Generally speaking, I dont have a high opinion of the people I work with. Good ole boys. I am doing well to tolerate them during work hours.
However, my customers that I support are the best. I dont go out with them per se, but I include some of them in my personal life.

I go to lunch when I can with them when the students are not in school -and we teachers can get a decent lunch hour! and I went to a Christmas party with a coworker that was sponsored by our union one time.
