Question Appropriate?

Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated:

One of my friends is having a probate in a few days. I was going to make her a present for her new sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha. It was going to be pink and green, with the letters AKA on it. But, she knows that I am sincerely interested in this organization. Would it be inappropriate for me to give her such a gift since I aspire to be a member one day?

As long as you are giving the gift as a way to congratulate her and she is truly a good friend, then I don't see anything improper about that.

Before I became a memeber of Alpha Kappa Alpha I had friends to cross before me and I made them sorority gifts. Just as I was given AKA gifts after I crossed by non members. It is not inappropriate and as long as you give the gift from your heart your friend will love it. I also like the fact that your being thoughtful enough to give a gift and not begrudge your friends happiness. Take care and keep supporting your friend and striving for your dream.
