Do you have any local symbols?
I know on our campus, almost all sororities have a local symbol/mascot/etc
heres the ones I know:
Phi Sigma Sigma: Teddy Bears and Sunshines - we've had the bear for a long time, and the sunshine is recent.
D-Phi-E: Penguins (is this local or national? Cos we have Theta Phi Alpha too, and they use penguins, ones local and ones national... hmm)
Tri Sigma: Grapes
and there are more...
My honorary has local everything!
Tau Beta Sigma
National colors: blue and white, national flower american beauty rose, long stemmed.
Local: colors: hunter green and white, flower: white lilly with purple trim, local mascot: monarch butterfly
Do you have a local mascot? If so, what is it and how did you get it?

ZTA doesn't really have any national 'mascots', I don't think, but different chapters I've heard of use penguins, bunnies, zebras, and Snoopy.
Our chapter uses bunnies, and I know that's a pretty common ZTA 'mascot' in a lot of places.

When I was in ZTA, they used ladybugs and strawberries. They still do.

Skiouros the squirrel is AGD's beloved mascot...and though it's not really any different, our local symbol's the surfing squirrel. It's something that's definitely unique to the Delta Sigma chapter.

D Phi E's national mascot is a unicorn and not a penguin...maybe that's a local thing. Our colors are royal purple and pure gold and our flower is the lovely purple iris. If you want to learn more, you can check out our website [url]www.dphie.org.

Phi Mu's national mascot is Sir Fidel, the lion. Locally we use ladybugs.
Tau Beta Sigma--locally (actually the entire southeast district) uses Shells the turtle as their mascot.

I'm in a local sorority right now so we definitely have a local mascot and symbols and etc.
Colors: Kelly Green and Silver
Flower: Yellow Rose
Mascot: Butterfly
I'm not sure how all this originated. Our founders just came up with them I guess.

Alpha Phi chapters all use the Phi Bear as our international mascot and the ivy leaf is our symbol.
The Phi Sigs on our campus uses the lion as their mascot.

A lot of Theta Chi chapters use a bull or ox. I guess because the greek letters look like OX and its fun to have a mascot.
