Great Movie: Because of Winn Dixie
http://www.becauseofwinndixiemovie.com/
I was watching some TV and this came on. I won't lie. I popped open a bottle of white wine and cried watching it...and then I cried from the Ruins.

I can only guess... the dog dies at the end.
I have purposely avoiding this movie, because anytime there is a story focusing on an animal, they always kill it off. I'm a huge animal lover, and quite frankly, I'm tired of this very lazy way of Hollywood trying to draw emotion from its viewers. They ruin it that way.
I remember watching Turner and Hooch? (I think that was the dog's name) and loving the movie. But sure enough.. they kill off the dog. I was SO angry. My goodness.. they even do that in children's movies. Anybody seen Bambi?
That marked the last time I ever watched another animal movie.
Please tell me the dog and/or the girl didn't die, and I'll watch it. Otherwise... forget it!

SPOILER ALERT:
The dog doesn't die. He runs away and, uh, stuff happens. It has a happy ending though.

While the dog doesn't die, quite a few of my brain cells did.
The things we do for wives/girlfriends.

My sympathies on the loss of your manhood.
It may not be too late, though. I prescribe a trip to Blockbuster (sorry, you don't have time for Netflix) and three viewings of Braveheart.

Re: Great Movie: Because of Winn Dixie
I haven't seen "Winn Dixie" but "My Dog Spot" with Frankie Muniz, Kevin Bacon and Luke Wilson is actually pretty good too.
