Thumbs up DC Rhoers holdin' it down!!!

Sorors, SFs and SSs,

These are Soror BlueReign's babies, yall!!! Actions like this speak volumes of the caliber of women who are advising them!!!

Phi Sigma's Rhoers have stepped up to the plate once again to lend a helping hand to our community and its youth. On Wednesday, November 7, 2001, Tavaye Johnson, a student at Thomas Johnson Middle School (TJMS), and his family lost their home and everything they owned except for their vehicles and the clothes on their back due to a terrible fire. Once the Phi Sigma Rhoers found out about this tragedy, they immediately jumped at the chance to lend a helping hand to their fellow classmate and his family.

The Rhoers assisted one of Tavaye's best friends in organizing a very successful monetary donation drive. The Rhoers also used their own personal funds to purchase shoes, clothing and socks for Tavaye. They also purchased several toiletry and cosmetic items for him and his family.

You go, Bluereign!!

It sounds like these rhoers are walking the walk and they have a good understanding of "Greater Service, Greater Progress! Kudos to you Soror Bluereign for guiding the young ladies down the right path! This is just another example why I became a Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. You go soror!

Oh my goodness, Sorors you are too much. But, sad to say, I really cannot take credit for this and the admirable work our Rhoers have done this fall. I was there when these lovely young ladies were brought into the Sigma family but the real credit goes to another Soror who teaches at the school that most of them attend and has constant contact with them everyday. I am sure she appreciates your remarks!

I resigned officially in September as Rhoer Advisor. My job and my personal life have kept me from "advising" like I would have wanted to. This is why I haven't been an "active" GC Chatter for the past few months. I am just getting back into it. But I am still active with my chapter and always will be.

This is so great BlueReign. I commend you and all other sorors in your chapter for helping to shape these young women. I wish you all and everyone else success in your chapters.
