What station do you listen to?

Hey gang,

When you listen to the radio, what DJ(or station) do you always listen to? Since I am in radio(One year with my station on Nov 23! woohoo!) I just want to know who makes you laugh, who you think should retire, and who makes you mad.


Wendy vs Angie!

Ok I am in Cali, but I have heard more about Wendy Williams than any other black female DJ.

I know she got fired and is now on some other radio station telling all kinds of scandalous biz, who do you guys listen to in that area? Wendy or Angie? I heard Angie is kinda boring, cause she wants to be everyone's friend, while other friends think Wendy is scandalous.

When I heard Wendy gave a shout out to Bobbi Christina and told her that her parents were dopeheads, I could have died

I love me some Wendy Williams!!! She is too funny sometimes when she talks about people in her "Blind Items" and between songs. When she had the gay rapper, Kaushun (sp) , on one of her first shows, it was too funny! I missed her sooo much when she was in Baltimore doing her show there, but now that she's back, I try to listen to her as often as possible. I like Angie sometimes whenever she has guests, but other than that, she's boring as hell! I also like listening to the Star and Bucwild show in the mornings b/c they're too damn silly! Star makes me mad sometimes when he disrespects different people, but I think some of those people deserve it!!! I like it when he says, "Give the people what they want, dammit!" I especially looove the segment, "What the hell is this?" A lot of what the crossover Negro, Reece, is saying is true and too funny!

I'm in Detroit and I listen 105.9 I love Russ and Olivia in the morning. They make me pull over from laughing so hard. My favorite on there in Danielle the cell phone sister. I hate the Tune Up Man. He's so boring to me. I like Spudd and everyone else. I do know this is a Radio One compnay

I listen to Tom Joyner in the morning. I love the soap opera it's your world. Before I moved here I use to listen to Issac Hayes in the morning on WBLS NY city.

I listen to 104.5 FM. I love listening to Skip Murphy and the Morning Team. They are a mess and Chris Arnold is too cute!

I listen to 97.9 the Beat occasionally. They are a RadioOne Station too and carry Russ Parr in the mornings. They tend to play old school songs and unedited versions of songs more often.

Wendy was in Philadelphia not Baltimore. The reason why she returned to NY was because she asked the station in Philly for a million dollars and they told that she could skip her happy a$$ right back to New York.

Anyway, I listened to Wendy when she was in Philly because she was funny. She is/was extremely ghetto, but it was still entertaining. I still listen to that same station in Philly, Power 99.

By the way, my sister is a DJ on that station!!! I won't say which one because that would be too much information given via the net.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Tom Joyner show. What about the afternoon drive? Or late night? Or do you guys not listen at those times : )

Speaking of DJ's. Did you guys know Lil Mo is now an afternoon DJ? Our soror FloAnthony said she is doing good but her record company is mad she isn't concentrating on her album.

I have to be honest, hearing this made me mad It takes a few years just to get on a decent station. Much less a prime time spot like the afternoon. I was like "she got that for being a rapper? heck no"

Does anyone like MissJones? She is on with Star and Buckwild right?

I listen to the TJMS and Russ Parr in the morning on the way to work. I listen to the TJMS once I'm at work because RUss Parr is to wild to have on while I'm at work. I would be laughing way to hard, and way to loud.

I love the soap "It's your world" on the TJMS.

I don't listen to the radio on the way home...it's strictly CD's at that time.

Things just ain't right if I don't hear Russ Parr and Olivia Foxx every morning on 92.1 (Richmond, Virginia). It's like major fun to listen to them joke and laugh on the radio. My favorites are Knowledge, Olivia Foxx and Gareshamone'. The call-ins. Miss. Chlyamidia (the psychic). The Wrong Songs. And I also like their top 10 lists. Lazy (Lazor) Lamont is also an added favorite and I really miss J. Anthony Brown on the show. I make sure that I listen to them since I spend a lot of time in my car. I also must look pretty wierd while driving because I laugh as if they were in the car with me. THEY ARE SOOOOOO FUNNY.

We have cable radio, so I listen to KPLU out of Seattle for NPR news in the morning and afternoon. Online, I listen to KCRW out of Santa Monica, California.

Offline I listen to Z95.3 in Vancouver.
