Interesting episode. I'm excited for next week's...although I'm hoping Charlie doesn't have anything to do with the baby Aaron disappearance due to his addiction. Hopefully, he'll be the hero for the day.
Good episode tonight, although it was kinda slow in the beginning. That one "other" guy freaked me out. His werid eyebrows glaring in the fire. Creepy.

I couldn't help but notice the other guy's resemblance to Santa Clause- it's all I could think the whole time.

Things to notice:
* Jack had no tattoo during his flashbacks w/Sarah so it's obvious he got it after his divorce from her. During the first few episodes of the show, Kate was bantering w/him about hit tattoo but he wouldn't tell her what it was.
* I have no proof of this but my instinct is telling me that Sarah left Jack for Desmond. They were all at the same place at the same time when Jack met Desmond running those stairs. Desmond even asked him about his belief in miracles.
* When the creepy beared Other guy dragged out Kate, he asked ALEX to bring her out. Isn't Alex the French womans kid that the Other's took?
* Ethan might not have been part of the Others. Ethan referred to what he would do where as creepy bearded man referred to the plural. He also looked a little confused when Jack brought up Ethan. So then who the hell was Ethan & what was he doing there?
Good quote: "From the dawn of our species, Man has been blessed with curiousity. Our most precious gift, without exception, is the desire to know more - to look beyond what is accepted as the truth and to imagine what is possible" - Alvar Hanso
Bearded guy said something similar to this to Jack.
* Wouldn't it make more sense to ask a person w/military training like Sayid to help train the army instead of the cop? Of course, Sayid is still heartbroken & is a born-again pacifist so he may tell Jack to go to hell.
Finally, all hail Sawyer & his penchant for nicknames!
Jack - Doc
Kate - Freckles, Hot Lips
Sayid - Captain Falafel, Muhammed
Hurley - Pillsbury, Stay-Puft, Jabba
Claire - Mamacita
Locke - Mr. Clean (you need an earring and a mop had me laughing my ass off)
Walt - Tattoo (as in Fantasy Island midget) and ShortRound (from Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom)
Michael - Han
Jin - Chewie
Ana-Lucia - Rambina, Ponce DeLeon
Eko - Shaft
Boone - Metro
Shannon - Sticks
Others bearded guy - Zeke

is it just me or did creepy other guy not call sawyer by his name? i know he called out Jack and Locke, but did not say anything about Sawyer. I thought, if true, it is interesting b/c earlier he asked why he chose Sawyer as a name and not his true name (James, i think?). Then, he was the only one with no name mentioned by the other guy.
and why the heck did they not follow up on the incident with the black cloud thing? didn't they show charlie and eko back at camp? that is what i did not like about the show! ack.....

I totally caught the name too... but I couldn't remember who was the one that had a connection. I guess Alex would be about 16 according to the tranmission.
I think that Jack didn't want to ask Sayid b/c he's depressed. DId you see the poor man when he asked what was going on.... he was a zombie.

That was Locke who asked Sawyer about choosing "Sawyer", not the creepy guy
For some reason, the past couple of episodes haven't *fully* kept my attention

Good detail catching on the "Alex" thing and on the "Ethan" not being one of THE OTHERS (possibly)! I'm impressed. Interesting thought about Desmond being 'the other man' but hey, with this show, anything is possible!

i knew it wasn't creepy guy who asked about his name, i just couldn't remember if it was hurley or locke who asked.
i thought it was an odd coincidence that the scene about sawyer's name was shown this episode, especially when creepy guy said the names of jack and locke later in the show, but not sawyer (if i remember that correctly).
good catch on the alex reference. i heard it too and tried to remember why the name would be important.
not sure about the ethan theory.....often, leaders (such as creepy guy) will refer to the organization's actions/members as "we," while just a member of the organization may not. it could also show that ethan did not agree with everything that was being done by referring to himself (as in "if it were me, i would have.."). i know he didn't say the "if it were me" part, but it could have been implied.

OK, so I wasn't impressed with this week's Lost at all. And I love Charlie!! He's my favorite!
The flashbacks were okay but then the actual update stuff was so so. I didn't like how they were making him out to be crazy and the bad guy. I was very unhappy with that. I also was pissed b/c Locke freaking hit him. And then everyone just walked away.
Oh well... I hope he'll redeem himself in the up coming episodes.

Yeah I agree with you. This weeks episode wasn't the best by far. The only notable things that I could spot in this episode were all the biblical references which make me think that Aaron is the key to everyone's salvation whether they know it or not just yet.
On a fun note, all hail Sawyer for adding yet another nickname to his ever increasing repertoire of nicknames for people. This weeks gem is Hurley = Jabba.

Has LOST "Jumped The Shark"
According to jumpedtheshark.com its a defining moment when you know your favorite television program has reached its peak. The instant that you know from now on...its all downhill. Some call it the climax. We call it jumping the shark.
Remember Happy Days? Remember the Fonz jumping the shark on waterskies. You get the idea.
Check out www.jumpedtheshark.com for its comments on LOST. According to the poll it jumped the shark when Ana Lucia appeared as a character. I would agree.

NOOOOOO!!!!!! Say it ain't so!!! There is so much more that we need to know!!!
Maybe this last episode was just a turning point. You know, now we'll find out more about what is going on.
- I was very intrigued that Eko did not run away from the black cloud and saw images of his past. I remember during the first few episodes Locke saw the black cloud too. Maybe Locke saw parts of his past.
- I want Sawyer.....Oh, yeah, what I was going to say, I want Sawyer to give people more nick names.
- I want to know about the kids that were taken: why were they taken? What are the 'others' doing with them?
I have to agree that this last episode was a bit 'slow', but hopefully the show will pick up.

that there was no new episode last night.
Just thought Mr. Eko fans would appreciate this:
Without fanfare, 'LOST' actor reads Psalm 23 before Hawai`i legislators
I got chills watching that episode. I can only imagine how it must have been like hearing him speak it again in that grand chamber.
