I just want to bitch in this thread.

I've been trying to prepare for spring rush, as of the other day no dates have been given yet for frat or sorority rush. Well yesterday I find out that IFC/Pan or whoever...hasn't actually set any dates yet.

No one knows when it is. Usually fraternity rush is the third week and sorority rush is right after. I can't set any dates, plan events anything!

On top of that, the Greek Office has also not told us our assigned phil. dates. It could be next week for all I know.


I seriously want to find the IFC President and beat the hell out of him. Then at least he would have an excuse for not getting his shit done.

trust me, our IFC isn't much bette... we usually do much better with informal recruitment anyways. Formal Rush is just that: a formality.

Can't you still plan some Recruitment events w/o having to worry about the Greek Life office?

Well, that really depends on the fraternity. Certain frats on campus can get away with selling heroin out of their house, raping girls, and having brothers OD on crystal meth...with no consequences.

Others have a noisy party and get fined a few grand.


It comes down to a very arbitrary decision by the head of the greek office. He might ignore it, or he might deny a chapter from even having any pledges.
