I wound up with a ride in the ambulance and free trip to emergency because my doctor's failed to realize that comprazine interacts with some other meds I was on causing tardive dyskinesia (that's what PDR calls it)...
I had the flu: 103 fever, chills, nausea. They gave me comprazine for the vomiting... Did not give me the best directions for the dayum stuff--take 1 every 6 hours as long as you feel nauseous. So I followed the doctors orders...
The next day, my tougue flattened and pulled back and I couldn't breathe because of it and it was pale, my body contorted and I looked like I had cerebral palsy... Somehow, I made another trip to the doctor and got the same reply from a physcian: "Oh, you're sick, and don't take comprazine unless you're nauseous... " Well, I felt nauseous--so I took the drug like they said I should...
Then the next day same issue...
So, I was driving (don't ask why

) someone back to a bus station and she could only speak Spanish--she told me to stop driving and said "let's call 9-1-1"... I pulled over, and she called on my cell phone, but they couldn't speak Spanish at 9-1-1!!!

We're talking SoCal and no Spanish speakers at 9-1-1!!! Anyhow, she hung up, called again and got someone...
Man, did they send out the whole brigade for me!!! I could hear just fine, but couldn't respond and writing was an issue... Then, EMT dude looked at me
ONCE and said: "Hey, that looks like a comprazine reaction, hadn't seen one of those in years!!!"
So needless to say, I got a nice drip of benadryl and was told to NEVER take comprazine again by the emergency staff at the hospital...
Oh, and I figured out why I was so nauseous... Since I was vomiting, I really didn't like toilet bowl worshipping, so I didn't eat... I was nauseous because I was hungry--not because being sick...
And at the time, everyone I knew: my parents and my brother was out of town except a close friend of mine that had to pick me up. My parents had to take the flight the next day and get me...
