Do they think that too many girls got released or something and just put down sororities they got released from anyway?
I can't imagine not having 20 girls show up!!

A side note. Joe Namath's daughter went ADTT at Bama!

Oh, I need a confirmation on this, from the home of great quarterbacks: Did Joe Namath's daughter go Alpha DELTA Pi or Alpha OMICRON Pi?!
Edited to answer my own question: Jessica Namath went ADPi!!
I so wish my daddy were alive - he'd be so happy!!! He was really, really proud of all the WPA's quarterbacks!

Why are they renting to Beta Theta Pi? Is Beta's house being remodeled? (Thanks!)

Georgia
Well, while dying on the vine here in the midwest, I finally found out what happened to the one I personally knew that went thru Georgia Recruitment. She is a new member of Sigma Kappa. Yipee! A new panhellenic sister!

Sorry I haven't checked in sooner folks but I was physically and emotionally beat. Plus I've been trying to reclaim my house from the disaster that my Hubby and kids left it in. Why is it that when Mama's away nobody knows how to pick up after themselves?
Anyways, yes Bama's ADPi is proud to welcome 64 fabulous women. (59 freshman and 5 upperclassmen) ADPi had an amazing Recruitment and the results showed it. I am so proud of our actives. This year they were so organized and everybody kept a positive attitude throughout, even in times of craziness.
As to missing pledges, yes there seems to be a slew of them (though fortunately not for us). Usually it's not uncommon for a handful of women to not accept bids, but this year looks pretty extreme. I haven't had the time to check around to see if things have been worked out or exactly what the scoop is.
I did hear some folks speculating on Bid Day about whether the new release figure system was at least partly to blame, but honestly I don't think that should have affected bid acceptance. A PNM who goes to 1, 2 or 3 Pref parties has to realize that she could be matched to one of those Chapters. If she knows in her heart that she does not want to be an ABC then she shouldn't accept their invitation to Pref. I'm wondering if the PNMs didn't understand the process completely. I plan on making some calls tomorrow.
FYI - Joe Namath did make a brief appearance at the house on Bid Day, but he quickly left. Sadly I didn't get the opportunity to meet him, though I did catch a glimpse. The parents mobbed the poor man! He decided to leave because he said this was his daughter's special day and he didn't want to take anything away from that. To me that says he's a loving father and has a lot of class.

Too sweet..... I'm not sure my dad even remembers that I'm in a sorority. Very nice.
Let us know when you figure anything out about the missing PNMs. I think everyone on GC is pretty baffled by it all.
But congrats to our Bama ADPis and welcome to all the new little Alphas! Sounds like they had a great rush.

UF Recruitment
To my understanding, quota was 56 at UF this year. I am ecstatic to welcome 59 new Sigma Kappas into the Beta Tau chapter, and I am so proud of all of our ladies for putting together an amazing recruitment!

Do we still have those ADPi Daddy shirts? I'd offer my dad's but he wore it to death! Joe sounds like one truly classy man!!
