Postcards from different states

Hey girlies I have a huge favor to ask of y'all.

With my kiddo's we are doing a unit on the United States. For the next about 8 weeks we are talking about the states. We are doing a state a day (minus Wednesdays b/c we have half day that day and don't have enough time).

What I would love is if I could get someone from every state to send me a postcard with the state name on it to the school. Then the kids can put the cards on a map of the United States as they come in. Plus, I could have them practice their writing (he he) by writing you back a thank you letter.

If anyone is interested please send me a pm and let me know what state you live in (some of y'all I honestly don't know, sorry) so I can keep track. I can also give you the address.

More than one from each state is totally fine I would just like to get one from every state in the long run (at least by the end of the unit).

Nothing special. Just a "hi". I have 10 boys in my class ranging from 1st to 4th grade.

The unit will be done on November 18th, I know that seems like a long way off, but I'd really like them sooner rather than later.

Now for two weeks in October (the 10-21) we are out of school for intersession (that is why we are finishing the unit in November).

If I could have most of them by the middle to end of October that would be great.

I'm still working on the ketchup. I finished the mayo. LOL

(for those who are wondering what we are talking about. WLFEO saved all the mini condiments for me from the hotel (since I live in AZ I didn't stay at the resort) and gave them to me, I believe on Saturday).

Got your PM, and will get it to you. Just an idea-you might get online and check out ADPi alumnae chapters from the rest of the states you need. I imagine if you email one of the bigger chapters in each state that some alum would be glad to help you out, especially with all the advance notice. (Note that I didn't suggest the collegiate chapters-I'm not so sure most college girls would consider it at the top of their to do list!!)
