Saudi King's sworn oath like that of Hitler's?

I don't know how many of you have studied the Nazis and the infamous SS, but does this article about the Saudi people swearing to the new Saudi King resemble the sworn oath that Germans took upon entering the SS and the army of the third reich? I think the two are remarkably similar.

It is an oath of loyalty and fealty to the new king, Abdullah; in Koran-thumping-ultra-puritanical Saudi Arabia, there ain't no halfway: you are for the king or you ain't a Muslim in their eyes.

For those who are wondering, below are translations of the oaths cashmoney mentioned. (It just so happens I am a history buff, particularly with World War II.)

The German Wehrmacht oath of allegiance in Hitler's day:

'I swear by God this sacred oath: I will render unconditional obedience to Adolf Hitler, the Führer of the German Reich and people, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and will be ready as a brave soldier to risk my life at any time for this oath.'

The SS oath of allegiance:

I swear to you, Adolf Hitler, as Fuehrer and Reichs Chancellor, loyalty, and bravery. I vow to you, and to those you have named to command me, obedience unto death, so help me God.

Thank you for giving the German oath translations for the people to read. I didnt have the time to translate it out when I made the post. I assumed the only people responding to this thread would be those who, like yourself and I, know a great deal about world war II history as well as the third reich.

So, now that you've read the translation.....do any of you find the two insanely similar? Thats crazy. And everyone is still trying to figure out why in the hell do all these terrorist come from saudi arabia. Fucking idiots!!!

Buddy I gotta say you're the fucking idiot - that fact that oaths of fealty sound familiar isn't all that shocking... becuase they are freaking oaths of fealty! There aren't that many variations between oaths of that nature - I'm sure jackass if you took the time you'd discover that the oaths taken by say the Romans, the British, the Canadians, the Australians, the Germans, the French (pre-republic), the Japanese (pre-WW2), or any other oath declaring ones loyalty as a subject... hell I wouldn't be surprised if many people on this board have taken oaths along similiar lines... but I don't see GC producing terrorists
