"The Washington, D.C. Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Foundation has raised an estimated $36 million out of the $100 million needed to begin construction of the Memorial. According to standard Federal Guidelines for State Memorials, Government funding for this project is extremely limited. As a result, we must raise the vast majority of funds for this Memorial from the community. We need your help. Thank you for contributing to the Washington, DC.
