Giant Popsicle Melts, Floods NYC Park

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050622/...sicle_disaster

Quote:
The 25-foot-tall, 17 1/2-ton treat of frozen Snapple juice melted faster than expected Tuesday, flooding Union Square in downtown Manhattan with kiwi-strawberry-flavored fluid that sent pedestrians scurrying for higher ground.

Hilarious.

Is there a Guinness Book of World Records category for "Most Delicious Natural Disaster"?

If not, there should be.

In elementary school we used to make cakes and decorate them like little nature scenes and then destroy them in different ways to demonstrate the different types of earthquakes there are, but somehow I think that's not quite in the same category . . .
