Perfume Scam

Be careful of people asking you to sniff perfume, particularly in unauthorized or secluded locations and at off-the-wall times. In many reported cases, the substance was ETHER instead of perfume. Victims who sniffed it passed out immediately and had their valuables stolen, and/or were sexually assaulted. Please be alert of this horrible scam and warn others--male and female.

This is actually a hoax that is listed on Hoax Busters. It's called "Bad Guy Selling Perfume" hoax. It has a couple of different variations, but the site stated that in order to pass out from Ether, you have to smell a large amount of it for a period of time, such as when a cloth is saturated with it and pressed to your nose.
