Earthquake!
ahhh!!!
I havent felt an earthquake like this since the Northridge one. now I am all giddy and shit. God, mudslides, kamotos, liberals and earthquakes? get me the hell out of this state!
when i first felt the ground shaking, i jumped underneath my desk. then i felt closterphobic so i ran outside. ahhhh!!!! i am scared now
ok jk, it wasn't that bad. but seriously, i havent felt an earthquake like this one in a looooooong time, even though it wasnt that big. but it was enough to keep you on your toes like a ballerina hoe.

you're such a dork....
5.3 on the scale based in hollywood
try being on the 6th floor of a building...morons at work stand up and start screaming earthquake like we're all going to die. My boss comes over and he goes "everyone stands up to see whats going on except you" and I was like "well thats dumb who stands up during an earthquake, I dont want to get knocked down so I'll just sit in my chair." Stupid people I swear you'd think they are the ones who arent from so cal not me...

I lived about 8 miles from the epicenter (of this one) when I was in HS. (west Redlands area "up the hill")
It is definitely a rocking and rolling place to live!!!!
"did you feel the shake last night?"
"not really, but I did hear the dishes rattle"
"wow, look at the waves in the swimming pool!"
"Oh, did we have another shake just now?"
fun fun fun

I felt it and it started as a low rumble and then it really started shaking. I was fine until I turned on the TV and saw that the epicenter was in Yucaipa. I have family that lives there, and when I called, the phone lines were down. Luckily, I called my mom and found out they're in Arizona for the week. Whew!

That 5.3 has gotten downgraded to 4.9....it's eating up all my TV shows now (the newscast reporters that is...)!!
I can't stand the news after an earthquake...for HOURS afterwards, they report the same information HOUR after HOUR without anything new!! People call in and they ask the dumbest questions....So what did it feel like? Anything break? What were you doing? AARRGHHGHGH

I remember the 1989 Bay Area earthquake...no, not the Tampa Bay area, San Francisco. The one that collapsed the Bay Bridge and ruined the World Series. That was like 7.1 - I bet Bobby would have peed his pants while huddling in a doorframe. 4.9...you call that an earthquake?
J/K, I hope all the So Cal GCers are OK, especially the ones in THE O.C. hahahaha
P.S. I'm rethinking my trip out there...why travel 3,000 miles when I can just wait around here for a hurricane to get me? Anyone know Orbitz's return policy?

That's what I'm sayin' 4.9 ? HA !
Earthquakes really, honestly don't scare me, they probably should scare me more than they do, but they really don't, and I was around for the big one in 89.
I am glad everything/everyone in So Cal is ok. I know there was a tsumami warning all along the coast because of all the earthquake activity which DID kinda scare me since I live all of 20 blocks from the ocean.

Yup...went to HS at Redlands High School in the mid-70's. Took my kids there to see it once when we were visiting the Inlaws in San Diego. My daughter said "I thought you were lieing mom when you said it had as much acreage as Disneyland....you weren't"
BIG Highschool then...
