A question for Phi Mus

Hello Ladies,

I was looking at the Phi Mu Official Website last night (which, by the way, is very impressive) and I came across something I didn't understand.

Searching under Chapters, I found "Collegiate Chapters", "Alumnae Chapters", and "Chapter Associations."

What are "Chapter Associations?"

Some are located at colleges and universities where there are no collegiate chapters.

If anyone has the time to enlighten me...that would be great.

Thanks.

Chapter Associations

A chapter association is a group of alumna from the same chapter. For example, when I graduate, I will likely join the Chicago alum chapter, but I would be part of the Delta Beta chapter association. In most cases, a chapter association is less active than an alum chapter (because its members may be across the country), but will plan things like reunions, gifts to the collegiate chapter, etc. Some chapter associations exist at schools where there is no longer an active collegiate chapter.
