b-more careful and the other book...i HATED!! i, too, am a stickler for editing. so much so, that i wrote her a letter and offered to edit the books for her. she wrote me back and told me that she couldn't afford it (i hadn't named a price) AND that since i lived in chicago, it might be difficult to work together (hello, heard of the internet/email?). i even gave her 10 corrections for free!!!!

The French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowles
Unless you are into existentialism (sp?) then this book is utter crap. Actually, even if you are into existentialsim, this book is still crap. It's the worst book I have ever read. He spends an entire chapter (ch. 13) explaining how he didn't make the characters do the things they did, they did it of their own free will.

NEVER EVER READ THIS BOOK...or anything else by him for that matter. My mother read The Magus and she said that was crap too.

now, that i've introduced myself, let me say that i agree with other posters...zane is garbage! it's alright to write about sex...as long as the writing is good. all her sexual stuff is repetitive and the filler between the sex scenes is fluff.

I only read one Zane book Addicted, to see what the hoopla was about, it ended differently then I thoght it would. All of her other books verge as others have previously said on the pornographic side.

Incubus Dreams, Nicholas in Chains and ALL of the latter books in the Anita Blake vampire hunter series.
They all begin the same, remain the same and end the same.

Human killed by vampire, Anita Blake and the wereleopards to the rescue, Anita gets hurts, Anita fights back, Vampire is sliced into pieces, Anita lives to fight another day.

 The end.

The Scarlet Letter - I absolutely hated reading that book. I really don't know why, I just remember it being a painful experience.

Why do the worst books always share names with songs (either the titles or a chorus)?
I really couldn't stand I am Charlotte Simmons. The Nanny Diaries was way overrated.
