KKC, by all means watch Nip/Tuck for the entertainment value (and to gape at Sexy Demon Boy

). It's definitely a fun show to watch! But remember that the writers are in there exploiting every plastic surgery stereotype you can imagine (hot doc who sleeps with patients, doc who hates his job, patients with unrealistic goals...pretty much the whole show!).
It's kind of like a Beverly Hills 90210 look at the world of plastic surgery - if they showed normal family men without angst who have no desire to boink their patients or perform surgery on their random hook-ups, the show would be boring and no one would watch it!

Maybe they're just being practical. Spring break is a week, but plastic surgery results are permanent or at least last a long time. Besides, she can go on spring break next year with her cute new nose, feeling good about herself, and having a great time!
