With all this talk about the Grammys and other award shows, I'd like to know the following: If you could have your own award show, who would be your nominees in the following categories?

* Best Movie
* Best Actor
* Best Actress
* Best TV sitcom
* Best Music Video
* Best Female recording artist
* Best Male recording artist
* Best Group/Duo


Here are my picks:

Best Movie- Love and Basketball

Best Actor- Since he was cheated last year, I would break the rules and give Denzel Washington the Oscar for his portrayal of Reubin Carter in "The Hurricane"

Best Actress- Alfre Woodard in everything she's done--but for the year, Sanaa Lathan in Love and Basketball.

Best Sitcom- I love "The Parkers" because of their off the cuff humor.

Best Music Video- "My Body"- Trinitee 5:7

Best Female Recording Artist- Yolanda Adams "Mountain High, Valley Low"

Best Male Recording Artist- Marvin Sapp "Nothing Else Matters"

Best Group/Duo- Mary Mary
Song of the Year- "Never Seen the Righteous" by Donald Lawrence and the Tricity Singers

Best TV sitcom: South Park (Are cartoons sitcoms?)
Best Music Video: Tie between De La Soul "Ooh" and Common's remix of "Ghetto Heaven" w/ Macy Gray
Best Female Recording artist: Jill Scott
Best Male Recording artist: Musiq Soulchild
Best Group/Duo: Lucy Pearl
