Well, CT used to have a professional sports team (Long live the Whalers). That said, here's who I follow:
Baseball: Yankees. My dad is a die hard Yankees fan, so he raised me as a Yankees fan. Don Mattingly and Dave Winfield were my favorite players growing up. The funny thing is that as a little kid I always wondered if they'd win a title, since the Red Sox, Tigers and Blue Jays were better in the late 80s/early 90s.

Football: Giants. Same as above, my dad is a big Giants fan so I grew up watching the games.

Basketball: I don't really follow one NBA team in particular, although I began to like the Celtics when I lived in Boston. I mainly follow college basketball.

SOME people in CT are also Red Sox/Patriots fans...
And yes, RIP Whalers. That loss broke a lot of hearts.

Now, CT does have UConn Basketball. And their football team is getting better. So there's something to follow.

I was just talking about my own favorite teams. I'd say it's about 50/50 for Yankees/Sox, and there's a huge Patriots following here.

Since we are seriously lacking a pro football team in Detroit.. I just stick with college football (although Michigan hasn't exactly been great the last two seasons either!)

My city doesn't have any major football/baseball/basketball teams, so I have to root for teams in surrounding cities...though I've just gotten into college football, GOOOOO DUCKS! Lol I'm not a huge sports person, so I'm easing into it. But generally, my parents are Dallas Cowboys fans, so I just go along for the ride.

			Arkansas Razorbacks IS our pro-team.
But I watch Dallas area teams in Arkansas. And Dallas area teams are a general rule in Arkansas except for baseball where the Cardinals remain king.

I don't really get emotionally invested in any one NFL team though. No reason to care about any of them.

We do have a professional sports franchise now though, the OKC Thunder. So far, I've made it out to at least a couple games per year.
