Gruden to Tampa Bay
Well, the drama may in fact be over. It looks like the Bucs are signing Gruden to a 5-year deal, not sure what the compensation to the Raiders will be.
After the clusterfu*k that has been this coaching search, I guess it could only a be a coach who worked under Al Davis who would choose to go into the Tampa Bay situation.

Whoa! I was hearing that it was Steve Mariucci, not Chucky.
Tampa Bay embarrassed itself big-time with this one. All that drama...

That's what I thought too. I like Mariucci. What's gonna happen to him now?
By the way, did Carolina get a coach? I can't remember with all the moves lately...

Carolina hired a guy named John Fox, who was the New York Giants' defensive coordinator. I think Fox, because he's not a big name, was overshadowed in all the other stuff.
I think Mooch (Mariucci) is going to stay in SF, for now. What I wonder is whether SF is going to trade Terrell Owens, who didn't get along with Mariucci.
Now, I wonder what will happen with the Raiders, because managing general partner "Alice" Davis just can't seem to keep good coaches.
Remember, years ago, he thought Mike Shanahan couldn't coach.

CHUCKY! hahaha - so true . . .
you thought the Gruden face was key in oaktown? Wait til Alstott fumbles 3 times in one quarter, or keyshawn johnson doesn't run a pattern out and ends up costing them a first down . . . Gruden will go apeshit by week 2, i guarantee

gruden is an awesome coach, and he'll do good things at tampa. I think after all the things tony dungy did for tampa, he got screwed over.

Not to mention if Warren Sapp talks more than he produces on the field. I don't think that the Chuckster would be awfully tolerant of that mess.
