I say in-ter-est-ing. I noticed along those same lines that when I moved to the southern midwest from Chicago, here people say INsurance and up North we said inSURance. Here they say UMbrella and up North we said umBRELLa.

I say "in-tresting," though many many people from the area where I was raised say it the other way. I always associate that pronunciation (in-ter-rest-ing) with the uneducated, which is unfortunate since I know that technically both are right.
