Ok....the Jackass Question of the Day ....
"If you KNEW you was going to Canada, and YOU KNOW you are in trouble with the law...and YOU are the mayor....wouldn't common SENSE tell you to contact the courts first before you travel????
(Sen I....you need to buzz me ASAP)

I didn't click the articles and assumed this was about the "rapping producer-turned-producer" Kwame'.
Rock the polka dots. Then I was wondering where the A-Phi call came in.
Now I've fully plugged in my brain for the day and GET IT. Okay.

If he runs for re-election he'll win too.

PhiGam
As twisted as this logic is going to sound....think about it.....
Getting caught doing drugs is one thing....
But....
having strippers in the home, having one of those strippers murdered, having extramarital affairs, utilizing city property for personal use, spending public money put in secret funds, being accused of preferential hiring...with a list that is continuing to grow...well that may be another small ball of wax....

Don't forget the most recent.. assaulting the officer who was serving him a subpeona. Michigan's Attorney General has scheduled a press conference for 10 am tomorrow to let us know whether Kwame will be charged that one.
I'm so sick of my income taxes paying this man's salary. However, Phi Gam isn't totally off. There are still people who support this clown. It's really kind of unreal. He clearly thumbs his nose at the law arrogantly and repeatedly. Time to take him down a notch and make him realize that he is NOT invincible. Sure, Windsor is a mile away, but it's still a different country and you don't go there without letting the court know.
And our governor is planning a hearing on September 3rd regarding removing him from office. She wants to give him some semblance of "due process". Then again, give this guy enough rope and he's slowly but surely hanging himself.
This city has enough problems without this joker screwing it up even more.

The latest: During the appeal this morning, the circuit court judge set new bond requirements, $50K cash, no travel and wearing a tether.
Immediately following, State Attorney General announced they are charging him with two counts of felonious assault.
The news is also reporting that his attorneys are trying to set up a plea agreement on the perjury charges.
Seriously, what a joke.
ETA: Daemon? Just curious about your interest in this story.. are you from Detroit? (Don't think you're living here now ...)

I'd still call it a 50/50 chance as long as he has a "D" next to his name on the ballot. As AGD said, this guy still has supporters in spite of everything that he's done.

In the last several Mayoral elections, the only candidates had Ds next to their name. It's an unusual city.. Republicans don't even bother running and there are frequently two Dems running against each other.

So much like DC, the local elections are usually decided in the Democratic primary?

He has to pay his tithe and offering first.
Oh and pray for forgiveness. Then he is a lock.
