Cool Dave Matthews Band

Ok this is kind of late, but do you like Lillywhite or Everyday better? I defiantely can not get into everyday and thought Lillywhite should've been released. Just a note, I can't wait for Oysterhead!!!!!!!!

I prefer the Lillywhite album. It is much more like the old dave that I know and love. The songs are great.

I like this new album. Yes, I admit that it's a lot more poppy then what I'm use to. But I for one am glad that Dave and the guys took a chance and put out something different. They even said themselves that they were tired of playing the same type of songs all the time. And the songs from the new album are sounding great live. The Everyday/#36 mix is awesome.

But I will be the first to admit that if they had released the Lilywhite version,it would have totally ROCKED! I love Grey Street.

Everybody, there is a new band comming out called Oysterhead. I've herd great thing about them. Check this line up:
Trey Anastasio (Phish)
Les Claypool (Primus)
Stewart Copeland (The Police)

I'm definately going to buy the album when it come out. On a sad not, I'm still going through my Phish Hiutus withdrawal.

LILLYWHITES hands down. Any true DMB fan will say the same.

Lillywhites are far more true dave than is everyday. I like everyday, I LOVE the lillywhites. Bartender is my personal fave on the cd, but I love Grey street and, well, I love all the songs (minus the last three which are just plain weird).

Everyday has some great tunes too, but they're all cookie cutter, 4 minute pop songs that REEK of Glen Ballard. Someone has got to get ridda that guy! What was Dave thinking?

Prospectiverushee is right, it's cool to have some different stuff, thus my belief that the two disks should have been released as a two disc compeltation. Because now, the lillywhites, which are slated for release as far as Dave is concerned, have already been leaked and most fans have them already.

Cutiepie2000 warned you I'd have my two cents. Now where are tigergirl and amycat???

Thumbs up

That is easy:

Busted Stuff
Grey Street
Diggin a Ditch
Sweet Up and Down
JTR
Big Eyed Fish
Grace Is Gone
Captain
Bartender
Monkey Man
Kit Kat Jam
Raven

Here is another trivia, what is Lillywhite Session's real title.

The boys really disapointed me with Everyday. I've been with them since 1994 during the Horde Tour (I was there to watch Blues Traveler and was blown away by DMB). Nothing wrong with going to a new direction, but to go that way, don't think so. Ballard was a very very poor choice from the beginning. Who knows, maybe they'll use Mut Lange next time. They'll start sounding like a cross between Shanai Twainn and AC/DC. Though that would be interesting.

On another note, I'm off to buy the live Phish CDs.

I'm HERE!!!!!!!! Did everybody know that today is Dave and Ashley's 1 year anniversary???? Just a lil tidbit of info for all true lovers of Dave. I have to say that I'll listen to any cd that Dave puts out no matter how far he strays from his original sound. I do prefer the Lillywhites more though. I just don't understand how his record company could let him scrap the album. Just doesn't make sense to me.

No you have to find somebody to burn a copy for you. That's what I did. I have 8 of the unreleased songs. I'm looking for somebody to burn me a copy to

I don't know if you guys heard yet, but Dave and the boys might be following Phish and take a couple years off. It's a good thing, they're show been flat lately and that good vibe is gone due to the amount of bandwagon fan that came around. People are comming to the show not to hear good music, but because itwas the cool thing to do. I say Dave should take two years off, and the true fan will appreciate them even more and those "scene" fan will follow other band that MTV spoon fed them.
