What is a line?

Hi, I have been seeking membership into alpha kappa alpha for a while. The last line of individuals was in '06 and now I am practically almost a senior. I have attended all the functions, thus far and even the interest meetings. However, I have heard nothing about a new line coming up. This question is not pertaining to when they will have a line or what not. But all I am asking is how would you even know if one came about. We were never asked for information or anything. Could this just be rumors circulating, or could it actually be possible because things were held out in a secreative manner....So basically What is a line?

Which school and what is your GPA? How many classes are you taking? What is your major?

How many "interest meetings" have you attended? Who was there? How did you find out about them? Who told you?

Properly sign your name on the dotted line and you can become a member!!!

I have been attending meetings since I was a freshman. I have found out about them because of flyers put around campus. I was not able to join in '06 because I was a first time freshman. Also, my GPA is fairly decent (about a 3.0). I attend school year round so I am obtaining all of my credits and I can possible graduate early because of the amount I have.

What did the interest meetings entail and who was there--i.e. what was their ages? Did you recognize them?

They were the active members who have not graduate yet. I recognized them because I am familiar with some of the members.

*And the line definition is cute. Thanks for making me laugh. It has been a stressful week of exams....LOL

What does ACTIVE MEMBERS mean? How come you only know SOME members? How were they dressed?

What is the name of the chapter?

They participate fully. I guess that is what it means. They said they were active members. And I know OF all of the members, but only a few on the "talk to when I see them" basis.

*and I thought in the directions it was said to not reveal the name of chapters, locations, and etc. ( I am referring to the first thread)

So YOU ACTUALLY DO follow directions!!! And you should ALSO know we don't answer any questions related to membership!!! Read between the lines!!! The lines are our friends!!!

As a result of your revelation, I have to lock this thread due the lines being blurred...

You need to do more research and get your facts straight... You already have crossed a very thin line!!! Good luck getting through to the front of the line!!!
