Hey!!!!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who saw NKOTB for their first concert. I saw them in 1990 and I think I was 9 years old.

I was 20 when I went to my first real concert!!! I went to the Jane's Addiction concert when they got back together in 1997 for a reunion type of tour. It was pretty good, BUT the people I went with wanted to be in the front and THAT was horrifying. I spent most of the time trying not to get trampled on!!!
I too was a huge NKOTB fan. My entire group of friends were too. We'd watch their concerts on video ALL OF THE TIME!!! It was like a 4-5 month addiction!!! I lived on Okinawa at the time, so there were no NKOTB concerts for me to go to and going to Tokyo was out of the question!!!

geez---mine was NKOTB too! I'm pretty sure . . . I know I saw Alabama when I was young--but I am almost positive that NKOTB were my first (my parents FORCED me to go to the Alabama concert--I like them now, but not when I was little).

OK, if you want to be technical, the FIRST concert I went to was when I was about 12. The family went to see Luther Vandross. But the first concert I went to by myself was Meat Puppets and Stone Temple Pilots at Beacon Theater in NYC in August 1994! AWESOME CONCERT!!!

Okay so my first concert was when I went to see Diana Ross this past February. I am 20 by the way! Its not like im a hard core fan of hers, but my parents wanted to go see her and since it was on their anniversary, we all went. It was pretty cool!

The first "real" concert I went to (other than at festivals) was Jimmy Buffett in December 1999.
Amazing. Simply amazing. So wonderful that I've considered going to concert locations nowhere near me. And bringing my mom (I've converted her over to the Parrothead side).

Ohmigosh! So, okay... don't laugh... my first concert was Petra (some obscure Christian rock band)... okay I said it. But I don't consider that my first REAL concert, which I would have to say was Tom Petty, woohoo!

Pretty funny, but my first concert was AC/DC in '93. We got free tickets from my friends step dad. It was a strange concert to be at for a 13 year old!!!! Hehe. But great fun. I think I was introduced to fuzzy navels there, but that's another story

I am very proud to admit that my first concert ever was....*drumroll please*
MENUDO in 1984. I think I was 5 years old and very much in love with Ricky Martin when he was only 12 years old. Menudo came back a year later and I went then too.
I remember the NKOTB concerts in Hawaii quite fondly...I was about 11 I think when they came down.
And then NSYNC came down for the Millenium concerts...I was 20. I was fortunate to score 4th row seats.
As you all can see..I'm quite a fan of boy bands.

My first concert was Shaun Cassidy in 1979. I was 12, my mom took me and I was sporting a brand spanky new satin baseball jacket purchased for the monumental occasion
And I can just about guarantee that most of you are like "Who the he** is Shaun Cassidy" haha

OK, I am just OLD. ha ha
My first concert was in 1978, I was 9. It was Blondie's Heart of Glass tour at the Aladdin Theatre of the Performing Arts in Las Vegas. My teenaged cousins were going and my 12 year old cousin and I wanted to go so badly that they finally relented and took us with them.
Killarney Rose- I AM SO JEALOUS. I LOVED SHAUN CASSIDY!! Da Do run run, Morning Girl, all of it.
I've been to tons of concerts since my debut at 9. Dave Matthews (9 10 and 11th times in May!), Depeche Mode(7 times), Violent Femmes (4X) and Oingo Boingo (3X) MANY times. Van Halen's 1984 tour. Tears for Fears. Bowie. Smashing Pumpkins. Jane's Addiction. Nirvana. Bon Jovi just last weekend. Many more.

Amy
